Introduction to Access (2000, 2002/XP, 2003)

This two-day course covers the fundamentals of planning and creating databases. Topics include: Planning a database, the Access Window, creating a Database, creating Tables, working with Records, creating Forms, creating Queries, and creating Reports.

Prerequisites Participants should be familiar with working with Windows applications – opening and saving files, and using menus and toolbars.

Intermediate Access (2000, 2002/XP, 2003)

This two-day course covers the creation of a relational database. Topics include: Planning a relational database, creating multiple tables and setting field properties, creating Lookups, creating table relationships, creating queries, forms and reports using multiple tables, and using design Tools and Wizards in creating database objects.

Prerequisites: Participants should be able to create simple tables, queries, forms and reports, and be comfortable using design views to create database objects.

Advanced Access (2000, 2002/XP, 2003)

This two-day course concentrates on learning advanced features in database design and data handling. Topics covered include: setting form and report properties to create custom reports, importing and exporting data, creating advanced queries, creating formulas in queries, forms and reports, and creating macros to automate database tasks.

Prerequisites: Participants should be able to create queries, forms and reports, be very comfortable using design views to create database objects, and understand how to work with relational databases.
